Blogging

I a am compulsive blogger… Apart from keeping a desperate (too much to read, too little time) eye on things relevant and interesting to work, I also blog – or try to – at two other places on the net.

A Time to Reflect : vignettes from everyday India – A Time To Reflect was where I started blogging – and it still remains my “main” blog where I pretend to muse on culture, society and development, marketing and advertising in India.

Travel

And then Itchy Feet – where my heart and feet take me – which is pretty much everywhere these days. Again, the same story – so much to see, so little time. And money. Sob!

Itchy feet is a recent attempt at recreating some of the memories of being on the road, of enjoying the journey as much as the destination, and of discovering the traveler in me, not the tourist… Words and images that refuse to fade away…

Itchy feet exists because Once you have travelled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey — Pat Conroy

Photography

a newly discovered interest that has slowly grown to become an obsession when I was not looking… I still shoot with a basic Canon digital camera (ouch!) and pretty much without thinking too much about it. Neither of which is the ideal way to go about pursuing this interest. Some day…

I am now the proud owner of a Sony DSC R1 – discovering slowly but happily how a great camera can take the photography experience to an entirely different level…

Some of my photographs are here on flickr at my road blog – go have a dekko.
